How We Do It

With us, it's straightforward. We'll take your scale reading to where you want it. Be it mobile, browser or any other external endpoint that is relevant to your production process. Our iPhone and Android mobile app can read data from a scale via WiFi. All that is required is to connect your scale to a weight indicator, and then have a serial-to-wifi adapter make the weight readings visible over the network. Using a UDP protocol, our app will instantly retrieve the reading for you. From there you can print a label containing the weight, product, price, production/expiry dates and more with a single tap! We work with mobile phones resistant to harsh environments (IP67).

Easily transfer the scale reading value to your favorite third-party inventory system’s web interface. The way this works is super simple. Just make sure your scale is connected to a weight indicator and then connect the weight indicator to Blinc’s proprietary Data Collector (resistant to harsh environments, IP67) with a serial cable. It transfers the scale reading via the MQTT protocol, and the Data Collector can apply any filtering or transformation of the data that you wish. Just in case you need to transfer data to an entirely different network remotely, you can easily do so via Blinc’s Cloud.

Integrating scale to mobile and printer

Our client was looking to label boxes based on the readings provided by their scales. A label included weight, price, product, and date. We integrated the scale with our mobile app and printer. It only takes 1-tap to get a label printed, and the whole process lasts only 4.3 seconds, whereas before it took much longer!
